Advanced Wave Sensors (AWSensors for short) is a High-tech company that develops, produces, and markets high precision sensing instrumentation for basic research, pre-clinical research, and industrial applications. We also provide scientific advice and customized adaptations of all our products. At the core of our sensing technology, commonly referred to as quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) with dissipation measurement (QCMD), is a humble piezoelectric quartz resonator. Its properties (resonance frequency and quality factor) depend on the environment: mass of a thin layer or shape of particles adsorbed at the surface of the resonator, viscosity of the surrounding liquid, etc.
