AMERIPEN is a leading voice in identifying packaging optimization strategies that can play a dramatic role in the fight against food waste if adopted more broadly, especially for fresh foods. By integrating feedback from consumers, industry leaders, and policy makers, AMERIPEN advocated for packaging to play a more significant role in reducing food waste at less cost. We represent the North American packaging value chain by providing public policy makers with fact-based, material neutral, scientific information. AMERIPEN works to ensure that nominations to the Board are representative of the overall membership. Directors are elected at each annual meeting to hold office for a term of three years. They may serve up to three successive terms if nominated and elected. Elections are staggered so that one third of Board positions are open each year.
