A.R.C. Laser GmbH

A.R.C. is a specialized company for the development and production of Medical Laser Technology. The history of the family-owned business from Nuremberg, Germany, reaches back to the year 1978, when Gisela and Reinhardt Thyzel founded the Meditec GmbH. By the development of the first Nd:YAG laser for secondary cataract surgery for commercial use, Rheinhardt Thyzel has set a milestone in ophthalmology. Shortly after, the Meditec Excimer Laser (MEL) for refractive eye treatment followed. Its successor model, the MEL80 from Carl Zeiss Meditec, still embodies the extraordinary innovative strength of the company. By founding the A.R.C. Laser GmbH in 1996, the Thyzel Family started again a highly innovative business which has set itself the goals of developing and producing laser based solutions for gentle and effective surgeries and treatments. Ranging from highly complex ophthalmic surgeries to nail fungus treatment – 35 years of experience in the medical laser field pay off.
