Atrion Medical

Atrion Medical Products, Inc. began with a company founded in 1968 behind a humble pizza shop in Chicago, IL, by entrepreneur Frank Ryder. The company relocated to North Alabama in 1974 and registered with the FDA in 1976 to begin manufacturing medical devices with the invention of several ophthalmic contact lens cases. Atrion Medical was acquired by Atrion Corporation (NASDAQ:ATRI) in 1994. Today, we remain a key supplier to the ophthalmic industry, but our primary focus is providing high pressure inflation devices and fluid delivery products to leading medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech companies who include our proprietary products as an integral part of their technology.
