Atrotech Oy

Atrotech was founded 1984 as a result of interdisciplinary product ideas combining the medical and bioengineering sciences. The main focus of activities has been in the field of functional electrical stimulation (FES). Nowadays the facilities are located in the Technopolis Hermia, Tampere, Finland. During the years Atrotech has developed a new mode of stimulation `Multipole Sequential Stimulation` (MSS). In contrast to the traditional modes of stimulation, MSS allows long-term full-time stimulation after a short conditioning period of the muscle and the use of low threshold currents.
