Baymatob is an Australian company specialising in the development of medical devices. The company was founded after the traumatic birth experience of CEO, Sarah McDonald, with her second child. It was this experience that made clear the need to do better in obstetrics monitoring. There is a need to develop technologies that provide clinicians clear information allowing for proactive approaches to improve outcomes and reduce interventions. There is a need to develop technologies that can do this without impacting on a mothers’ desired birthing experience - the monitoring technology itself should have no impact on how a mother moves and what activities she does. At Baymatob, it is important to us that the technology we develop is not only improving outcomes, but is also working towards improving the experience of all users.
