Bened Biomedical Co., Ltd. was founded in 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan. One of its founders, Professor Ying-Chieh Tsai (National Yang-Ming University), has spent decades studying fermentation and probiotics. It was in his lab where Bened’s first psychobiotic, L. plantarum PS128, was isolated from fermented vegetables. Our Mission is Enhance mental and neurological health using psychobiotics, one gut microbe at a time.
