Omental Preadipocytes
Preadipocytes are isolated from omental, mesenteric, or perirenal adipose tissue and are tested for their ability to differentiate in culture to mature adipocytes. Preadipocytes are available cryopreserved or plated and mature adipocytes are available in a variety of plated formats. The greater omentum is the largest peritoneal fold within the abdomen and has an immunologic function. The omentum aids in isolating peritoneal infection and absorbing contaminants through the mesothelial stomata. Adipokines and fatty acids from this depot have direct access to the liver through the portal circulation which may lead to hepatic dysfunction.
Human Esophageal Smooth Muscle Cells (HESMC)
Smooth muscle is responsible for the contractility of hollow organs, such as blood vessels, the gastrointestinal tract, the bladder, and the uterus. Its structure differs greatly from that of skeletal muscle. The human esophagus contains three layers of muscle in its walls, the outer longitudinal and inner circular layers of the main muscular coat and the muscular layer of the mucosa. Visceral smooth muscle cells makes up all three layers along the entire organ except for the most rostral few centimeters.
Human Synovial Membrane Fibroblasts
Human Synovial Membrane Fibroblasts are isolated from normal human synovial membrane tissue. The cells are cryopreserved at passage 2 and delivered frozen. T25 flasks is required for cell adhension to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with 5% CO2. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml.
Human Colon Cells
Human colon cells are isolated from human normal colon section and are ideal research models for malignant and non-malignant colorectum diseases. The cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CK18, CK19 and GAPDH. Human colon cells are cryopreserved at passage 7 and delivered frozen. T25 flasks is required for cell adhension to the culture vessels. Grow cells in ECM-coated culture vessels with 5% CO2. Each vial contains at least 1x10^6 cells per ml.
