At CurvaFix, we are a dedicated group of health professionals, committed to improving patients’ quality of life with leading-edge treatment technologies. The CurvaFix IM Implant is the only intramedullary implantable device capable of following the natural bone curvature within the pelvis. It is flexible during implantation to reach challenging pelvic fractures, and is locked in a rigid state once in place. Our company began with the inspiration that there must be a better way to repair fractures of the curved bones of the pelvis than existing straight screws that can’t follow a curve, or bone plates that require invasive surgery. Dr. Robert Meek, an Orthopedic Surgeon since 1974 and former Founder and Head Division of Ortho Trauma Vancouver General Hospital & University of British Columbia (Canada) pursued his vision for a curved implant by initiating a research project.
