Liquid Robotics, a Boeing Company is an American company headquartered in Herndon, VA that designs, manufactures, and sells an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) called the Wave Glider. The Wave Glider is the essential technology for this transformation. Sitting at the surface, the Wave Glider is capable of collecting and communicating ocean data, real-time, through unpredictable conditions, for up to one year. It connects subsea data and communicates it to satellites and land, creating an ocean network. The joint venture, which ended in September 2016, combined Liquid Robotics Wave Glider technology with Schlumberger’s oil and gas expertise and industry knowledge to integrate and deploy new solutions for customers worldwide.
