Resoundant, Inc. is a medical technology company founded by Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research and is located in Rochester, MN. Resoundant is dedicated to improving patient care and diagnosis accuracy by making Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) available around the world. MRE technology uses low frequency mechanical vibrations that harmlessly travel through a patient`s body. These waves are generated by a specially developed acoustic driver system that is synchronized with a standard MRI scanner. MRE is cleared by the FDA as an MR add-on technology. Currently, Resoundant MRE is installed in over 800 locations world-wide and is sold as an upgrade to MRI scanner manufactured by Philips, GE Healthcare and Siemens.
