The PolyMem MAX dressing is composed of a polymeric membrane , 3mm thicker than PolyMem • Regular , combined with a superabsorbent that provides superior exudate absorption and retention capacity. In addition, it contains a non-aggressive cleansing agent that is gradually released into the wound bed. Once the wound is clean, this surfactant makes it unnecessary to clean the wound during dressing changes.
It contains glycerin that keeps the dressing well placed on the wound and makes it easier to remove. Finally, a thin outer semipermeable film allows gas exchange while maintaining the ideal vapor transmission ratio (MVTR).
