Avanti Volar PEEK Plate and Dynamic Device - Video

The Avanti Orthopaedics volar PEEK plate combines surgical stainless steel and PEEK (Poly Ether Ether Ketone) in a novel, patented composite construct to provide stable variable angle fixation for the repair of distal radius fractures. Similar to other Avanti Orthopaedic plate designs, the volar PEEK plate features fixed bi-directionally angulated fasteners (including far-cortical fixation), ultra-low profile contour and stress-relieving tapered ends. In combination with PEEK's bone-like modulus, these features create a load-sharing plate aimed at rapid bone healing. Additonaly, with regards to distal radius fracture fixation, the Avanti Orthopaedics' Dynamic Device was specifically designed to allow both longitudinal and coronal plan correction. To achieve this, the Avanti Dynamic Device's 'foot' captures the plate in a full 360 degree arc thus allowing manipulation and correction in more than one plane. Move forward with Avanti!
